Born and RaisedJon is an actor, writer, speaker, and creative from Chicago, IL. Jon grew up and attended high scool in Crystal Lake, IL at South High School. Between his school's theater program and an outside youth theater organization, CYT, Jon starred in shows like My Fair Lady, The Music Man, and Peter Pan. At the age of 16, Jon began his professional improv career with GreenRoom Productions after starring in the company's summer musical Into the Woods.
The College YearsJon recently graduated from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama with a BFA in Acting/Musical Theatre. In school, Jon played various roles including Trissotin (Learned Ladies), Faulkland (The Rivals), and Ernst (Spring Awakening). During his time at Carnegie Mellon, Jon received the Thomas Auclair Memorial Award, as well as the John Arthur Kennedy Award for Excellence in Acting.
A Working ManIn addition to being an actor, Jon has also choreographed for numerous theatre companies including Greenroom Theatre (Urinetown) and Spotlight Youth Theatre (Guys and Dolls). Jon is also the creator and director of his original thirty-minute dance piece An Impossible Love, which received it’s premiere at the Playground Festival at Carnegie Mellon in 2013. Jon is a co-founder of The Anima Series, a creative project committed to providing local Chicago artists with a global platform. The Anima Series can be found on YouTube, Facebook, or any other social media.
