What God Wants

“For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgement of God rather than burnt offerings.” Hosea 6:6

God doesn’t want blind rule following, he wants our hearts. He doesn’t want us to begrudgingly give him our obedience. He wants us to willingly give him our lives. It is from a heart that is fully devoted to him that righteous living will spring forth.

We no longer live under the law, we live under grace, which gives us an opportunity to uphold the law without fear of condemnation. God’s desire, first and foremost is that we would experience his mercy, and acknowledge him above all else.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank you that you desire my heart above all else. I give you my heart today, and I give you my life. I pray that through submission to you, that you Spirit may guide me in living differently.
